Position Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Customer Consultant for its Glen Acres store in Kempton Park. This role is perfect for individuals with strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills.
As a Customer Consultant, you will be responsible for interacting with customers, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a seamless customer experience while supporting the store’s benefits programme and promotional activities.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Communication
- Assist customers with queries, complaints, and product-related questions
- Provide accurate information on products and services
- Respond to customer queries via email and other communication platforms
- Maintain excellent telephone etiquette
Administration & Data Management
- Ensure accurate data capturing and completion of documentation
- Manage customer records, card balances, and statements
- Handle transaction processing and reporting (TRMS)
- Monitor manual points allocation and report discrepancies
Inventory & Stock Control
- Manage inventory items such as promotional materials, gift packs, and customer forms
- Oversee stock control and reduce shrinkage
- Ensure availability of promotional and benefits programme materials
Customer Experience & Promotions
- Coordinate and manage in-store promotions and events
- Ensure visibility of benefits programme signage
- Act as a central point of contact for customer feedback
- Escalate complaints and compliments to senior consultants
Internal Coordination & Training
- Communicate effectively with store management and teams
- Provide training on the benefits programme to store staff
- Ensure compliance with Dis-Chem’s SOPs and policies
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric (minimum 60% in English, Afrikaans, and Maths Literacy)
- At least 1 year of experience in administration or customer service/public relations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous Skills & Experience
- Qualification in Administration, Customer Service, or Public Relations
- SAP system experience
- Additional language proficiency
- Knowledge of retail operations and customer engagement
