About the Store Supervisor Role
The Store Supervisor plays a critical operational role, ensuring that showroom activities run efficiently, stock and cash processes are controlled, and staff follow company policies and procedures.
You will act as the link between frontline staff and the Showroom Manager, ensuring daily execution standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Support & Store Productivity
- Support the Showroom Manager in achieving sales targets
- Ensure daily sales activities are properly executed
- Monitor staff performance and floor engagement
- Assist with promotions, campaigns, and product updates
Operational Execution
- Ensure compliance with SOPs and internal policies
- Monitor administrative and operational processes
- Identify risks and escalate issues to management
- Support corrective action implementation
Stock Management
- Oversee stock receiving, storage, and movement
- Assist with cycle counts and full stock takes
- Monitor stock variances, damages, and losses
- Maintain organised and compliant stockrooms
Cash Handling & Risk Control
- Ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation
- Monitor POS and banking processes
- Investigate cash discrepancies and variances
- Support fraud and risk prevention measures
Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise daily showroom staff activities
- Support onboarding and induction processes
- Reinforce training on systems and procedures
- Provide on-the-job coaching and guidance
Reporting & Administration
- Compile operational and compliance reports
- Maintain accurate records for audits
- Escalate operational issues and risks
- Support management decision-making with data
Health & Safety Compliance
- Ensure workplace safety standards are followed
- Identify and report hazards or risks
- Promote a safe and compliant work environment
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Matric / NQF Level 4 (required)
- Minimum 5 years retail experience
- At least 3 years retail operations or administration experience
- Strong understanding of stock and cash control processes
- Computer literacy and experience with retail systems
- Clear credit and criminal record
