About Seriti:
Seriti is a leading mining company committed to safety and operational excellence. We are currently hiring a Protection Officer to ensure the security of our employees, materials, and facilities at Klipspruit New Largo in Mpumalanga.

Role Overview:
The Protection Officer will be responsible for overseeing security operations, managing access control, conducting investigations, and maintaining the confidentiality of all records and information. This role is crucial in safeguarding company assets and ensuring a secure working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage security personnel
• Implement effective access control measures
• Conduct thorough investigations of incidents
• Ensure confidentiality of records and information
• Manage surveillance systems and respond to security breaches
• Pursue ongoing personal and professional development

Requirements:

• National Certificate (1st year completed) in Security Management or equivalent
• Registered with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) – Minimum Grade B
• Valid Firearm Competency Certificate
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory security role
• In-depth knowledge of security systems, CCTV, and alarms
• Familiarity with relevant legislation (e.g., Criminal Procedures Act, Security Officers Act, Mine Health and Safety Act)
• Strong report writing skills and computer literacy
• Valid driver’s license and Certificate of Fitness

Advantageous:

• Progress toward a Security-related National Diploma (NQF Level 7)
• Experience with investigations and team supervision in the mining industry
• PSIRA Grade A certification
• Safety Course: S1
• Knowledge of Seriti’s policies and procedures
