Job Description:
The Machine Minder is responsible for operating the fillet line, ensuring that production adheres to standard operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up fillets (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to initiate the production cycle.
- Control and adjust the fillets line settings (e.g., speed).
- Perform visual inspections of machines daily.
- Troubleshoot and fix any issues that may arise during the shift.
- Perform additional duties as required by the line manager.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent.
- N2 Mechanical Engineering qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of proven experience as a machine operator in the FMCG environment.
- Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery.
- Willingness to work overtime, shifts, and weekends when required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Understanding of production procedures.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
- Ability to read manuals and technical documentation.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle pressure.
