Hyundai Automotive South Africa is seeking a Warehouse Receiving Storeman to join the Retail Parts Distribution Centre. As part of a leading global automotive industry brand, this role will focus on overseeing all aspects of receiving, inspecting, and storing automotive parts with precision. You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring that goods are correctly processed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect Goods: Verify the accuracy of received goods against invoices. No damaged or incorrect goods should be accepted.
  • Inventory Control: Ensure proper binning of all parts and goods, managing any discrepancies within the deadline.
  • Costing and Invoicing: Process invoices accurately and ensure correct inventory levels.
  • Stock Counting: Conduct daily perpetual stock counts to ensure all parts are accounted for.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse.
  • Discrepancy Reporting: Manage and report on damaged or incorrect goods, ensuring quick resolution.
  • Team Supervision: Assist in ensuring that other warehouse staff are carrying out their tasks effectively.
  • Returned Goods: Handle and accurately bin goods returned for credit.
  • Process Adherence: Ensure that all warehouse processes, such as claims and binning of parts, are completed on time.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Minimum Education: Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in a similar role, with experience in the automotive industry being advantageous.
  • Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license is required.

Skills and Personal Attributes:

  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and maintain a well-organized warehouse.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Storekeeping Practices: Knowledge of storekeeping procedures, practices, and warehouse operations.
  • Communication: Clear understanding and execution of oral and written instructions.
  • Accountability: Reliable and capable of taking responsibility for tasks, ensuring inventory management is accurate.
