Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an exciting opportunity for an Invoice Credit Clerk at their Head Office in Midrand. The role requires assistance in timely and accurate vendor payments, ensuring adherence to finance and invoice processing protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Capture and post invoices on a daily basis, ensuring details such as legal entity, VAT, and vendor numbers are accurate.
- Error Handling: Identify invoice errors (e.g. short received, wrong received) and workflow these issues to the appropriate store or department for resolution.
- Proof of Delivery (POD): When requested by stores, liaise with vendors to obtain valid PODs for disputed invoices.
- Vendor Communication: Regularly communicate with creditors regarding payment dates and vendor number corrections.
- Daily Targets: Ensure daily and monthly invoice capture targets are met as outlined by the MIRA Credit Supervisor.
- Invoice Verification: Check for VAT compliance, legal entity correctness, and accurate vendor numbers before invoice capture.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric
- 1-2 years’ relevant experience in invoice processing or a finance-related role
Advantageous Qualifications and Skills:
- Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Finance or Accounting
- Experience with SAP and ReadSoft
Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to ensure invoice accuracy.
- Time Management: Deadline-driven and capable of working under pressure.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Team Player: Able to collaborate effectively within the finance department.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and verbal).
