Role Overview
As a Driver (Code 10), you will be responsible for transporting stock to various clients efficiently and safely. Your role will also involve completing necessary paperwork related to loading and offloading stock, as well as ensuring compliance with road safety regulations. This position requires a reliable individual who is punctual, organized, and capable of working independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Transporting Stock:
- Safely and efficiently transport stock to clients, ensuring timely deliveries that meet customer expectations. You will be the face of TWK Agri during these interactions, representing our values and commitment to service.
- Paperwork Management:
- Complete all necessary documentation related to the loading and offloading of stock. This includes ensuring that delivery notes are filled out accurately and that all paperwork is submitted promptly to maintain accurate records.
- Road Safety Compliance:
- Obey all road safety regulations and traffic laws while driving. Maintain a clean driving record and ensure that your vehicle is in good working condition, conducting regular inspections and reporting any issues immediately.
- Customer Interaction:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients during deliveries. Address any queries they may have and ensure they receive their products in good condition.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Take responsibility for the maintenance of the vehicle assigned to you. This includes regular checks, cleaning, and ensuring it is fueled and ready for use.
Qualifications and Skills
- Educational Background:
- A minimum of Matric/Grade 12 is required.
- Literacy:
- The candidate must be literate and able to complete necessary documentation without assistance.
- Driver’s License:
- A valid driver’s license (Code 10) with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) is essential for this role. A Code 14 license will be considered advantageous.
- Experience:
- Candidates should possess at least 2 years of experience in transporting stock. Previous experience within the agricultural sector is advantageous, as it provides insight into the specific needs of our clients.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are necessary for managing paperwork and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Good communication skills are also essential for interacting with clients and team members.
