Role Overview

As a General Worker, you will be responsible for various essential tasks that support our operations. Your duties will include loading and off-loading trucks, sorting and storing goods, conducting stock counts, and maintaining a clean and organized working environment. This position requires a proactive individual who is willing to take on physical work and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Loading & Off-loading of Trucks:
   • Assist with the efficient loading and unloading of goods from delivery trucks. This will involve heavy lifting and careful handling of products to ensure they are not damaged during transit.
2. Sorting and Storage of Goods:
   • Organize and store incoming stock in designated areas. You will be responsible for ensuring that goods are stored properly, categorized, and easily accessible for retrieval when needed.
3. Stock Counting:
   • Conduct regular stock counts to maintain accurate inventory levels. This involves checking quantities, reporting discrepancies, and ensuring that stock records are up to date.
4. Maintaining a Clean Working Area:
   • Keep the working environment clean, safe, and organized. This includes regular cleaning of workspaces, equipment, and storage areas to promote a tidy and efficient workplace.
5. Willingness to Work Overtime:
   • Be flexible and willing to work overtime when required to meet operational demands. This may involve working additional hours during busy periods or when special projects arise.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of Matric/Grade 12 is required for this position.
