About the Role:
Tsebo Catering is seeking a General Assistant to perform day-to-day housekeeping services, ensuring a clean and appealing facility within the hospitality industry. This role focuses on maintaining hygiene standards and supporting various housekeeping tasks.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Cleanliness Compliance: Ensure compliance with company and statutory cleanliness regulations.
- Scullery Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness in the scullery area.
- Hygiene & Safety: Adhere to hygiene and health and safety standards at all times.
- Utensil Cleaning: Clean crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen, and dining room utensils to maintain company standards.
- Waste Management: Ensure removal of refuse from the scullery area.
- Additional Assistance: Provide support in other unit areas and respond to reasonable management requests.
- Cold Room Cleaning: Clean fridges in walk-in cold rooms.
- Public Area Safety: Ensure cleaning agents are not left in public spaces.
- Safety Measures: Use safety signs/boards where cleaning is in progress.
- Outdoor Cleanliness: Keep the outside area of the store clean and inviting.
- Compliance: Maintain cleanliness at the back of the store to meet health regulations.
- Support in Other Areas: Assist in various unit areas when not busy.
- Kitchen & Equipment Cleaning: Clean food preparation equipment, floors, and other kitchen areas.
- Wall & Window Cleaning: Clean walls and windows as needed.
- Fixture Cleaning: Disinfect laundry, kitchen, toilet, and bathroom fixtures.
- Additional Duties: Assist with duties outside the scope of responsibilities when required.

Qualifications:
- Matric (High School Certificate)
- Previous Experience: Experience working in a Business and Industry environment as a General Assistant.
