Tsebo Facilities Solutions is seeking a Carpenter to provide technical support for reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, furniture, and fixtures. The role involves using carpentry skills to construct, install, and repair various structures and fixtures, ensuring they meet specific requirements and design specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Carpentry Services, Maintenance & Repairs:
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks as assigned by the Supervisor or Maintenance Planner.
- Respond to Reactive Maintenance tasks and repairs, ensuring quality work and minimal disruption.
- Apply best operating practices during maintenance and repair tasks.
- Provide a list of required materials to facilitate the successful completion of tasks.
- Assist in keeping the workshop clean and well-organized.
- Submit weekly check sheets to the Supervisor for review.
Building Maintenance:
- Assess, repair, and maintain various building structures such as doors, windows, floors, and walls to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from building occupants, minimizing disruption and ensuring satisfaction.
- Proactively inspect and maintain carpentry elements to prevent potential issues.
- Collaborate with other maintenance professionals (electricians, plumbers, etc.) for seamless operations.
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures such as doors, windows, and cabinets.
- Install, repair, and maintain wooden fixtures and furniture with attention to detail and quality.
- Apply finishes like paint, varnish, or stain to protect and enhance wooden structures.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address wear or damage.
- Source appropriate materials for projects and coordinate their procurement.
- Ensure safety regulations and industry standards are adhered to.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and provide timely reports.
- Interact professionally with building occupants, management, and team members, addressing concerns and providing updates.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Carpenter Diploma or relevant recognition of prior learning in carpentry.
- At least 3 years of experience in carpentry.
- Knowledge of carpentry repairs, maintenance, tools, and materials used in the field.
