We are seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to oversee daily operations in Rosebank. This role is responsible for maintaining high service standards, ensuring proper cleaning methodologies are followed, and managing assets effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Operations and Service Delivery:
- Ensure work schedules and job cards are in place for each position and are relevant to the site.
- Maintain high service standards through regular inspections of all cleaning services.
- Ensure staff are appropriately dressed, displaying name badges, and always uphold the company image.
- Strictly adhere to cleaning methodologies in line with company policies, quality programs, and legislation.
- Perform monthly spot checks on high-value items, ensuring equipment is in good condition and serviced when required.
- Conduct daily checks and follow-ups on cleaning standards.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance at all times.
Communication and Coordination:
- Respond promptly to management requests and take necessary actions as required.
- Maintain a high level of morale and motivation through effective communication and leadership.
Health and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, following the necessary regulations.
Skills and Competencies:
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a similar environment.
- Experience in managing health, hospitality, and safety standards is essential.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle flexible hours, including after-hours and weekends.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Matric/Grade 12.
- Tertiary qualifications are highly advantageous.
