In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of goods, ensuring compliance with South African Road Safety laws. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Safely and timely deliver goods as per the schedule.
- Ensure the safe transportation of goods between units.
- Maintain cleanliness and regular servicing of the vehicle.
- Drive in accordance with the South African Road Safety Act.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Keep an accurate logbook to record mileage for each trip.
- Complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately.
- Provide professional customer service, ensuring that deliveries are carried out smoothly.
- May be required to assist with duties outside the scope of delivery responsibilities.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Ability to update and maintain accurate data records.
- Familiarity with the Gauteng/Johannesburg area and routes.
- Excellent driving skills and a thorough understanding of road safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
- 2-5 years of driving experience.
- Valid driver’s license and Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
