Overview:
WeBuyCars is looking for an Inventory Controller to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a vital role in managing stock, processing purchase orders, and ensuring that inventory levels are accurately monitored and controlled. We are seeking an individual with a technical or mechanical background in the automotive industry to contribute to the smooth running of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Purchase Orders:
- Open, approve, and close orders as per company policies.
- Ensure adherence to admin order rules, including reversals and corrections.
- Provide support for the purchase order system.
- Extract and process data related to purchase orders.
- Chase open orders daily to ensure timely completion.
Stock Management:
- Extract and report stock data regularly.
- Monitor stock take exceptions and address issues promptly.
- Provide system support for inventory tracking.
- Manage stock levels on the floor, ensuring they align with required specifications.
- Update and manage Trello board, adding and removing vehicles as necessary.
Housekeeping and Expense Control:
- Manage manual order books and ensure their accuracy.
- Handle orders for “Promo,” “Sold,” “Finance,” “QC,” and “Delivery Ready” stickers.
- Coordinate payment requisitions for service providers in accordance with budget requirements.
Key Competencies and Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Mechanical background in vehicles is essential.
- Excellent listening, problem analysis, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- High stress tolerance and ability to work under pressure.
Further Requirements:
- Education:
- Grade 12.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management.
- Technical/mechanical background is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the motor industry is preferred.
- Language:
- Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
