Purpose of Position

Lead and manage a store team to achieve business key performance indicators (KPIs), including driving sales, managing costs, minimizing risks and stock loss, performing administrative duties, and ensuring world-class store standards.


Responsibilities

  1. Sales Growth:
    • Drive sales by providing excellent customer service.
    • Maintain world-class store standards and a positive store image.
    • Effectively manage stock and implement promotional activities.
  2. Stock Loss Prevention:
    • Cultivate a healthy store culture to reduce stock loss.
    • Follow security measures and proper stock and cash handling procedures.
  3. Cost Management:
    • Align with the company’s low-cost culture by implementing efficient cost-saving measures.
  4. Administration:
    • Ensure store administrative tasks are completed accurately and in compliance with company standards.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Train, coach, and manage the performance of a dynamic team (Dynamos).
  6. Standards and Compliance:
    • Maintain health, safety, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification (degree/diploma in business or retail-related fields) is advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment in a leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite is advantageous).
  • Attributes:
    • Passion for retail and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
    • High integrity and willingness to go above and beyond.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Effective planning, organizational, and managerial capabilities.
    • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work retail hours.
