Purpose of Position

Lead the store team to achieve business KPIs, including driving sales, managing costs, mitigating risks, reducing stock loss, performing administrative duties, and maintaining world-class store standards.


Responsibilities

  1. Sales Growth:
    • Drive sales by delivering exceptional customer service.
    • Uphold world-class store standards and maintain the store image.
    • Manage stock effectively and ensure promotional implementations are timely and accurate.
  2. Stock Loss Prevention:
    • Foster a positive store culture to minimize stock loss.
    • Adhere to security measures and ensure proper stock and cash handling procedures.
  3. Cost Control:
    • Maintain the company’s low-cost culture by identifying and driving efficiencies within the store.
  4. Administrative Management:
    • Complete store administrative tasks in compliance with company guidelines.
  5. Team Leadership:
    • Train, coach, and manage the performance of a dynamic team of employees (Dynamos).
  6. Standards and Compliance:
    • Ensure general health, safety, and housekeeping standards are consistently maintained.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Grade 12.
    • Relevant tertiary qualification (degree/diploma in business or retail-related fields) is advantageous.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in a retail environment in a leadership role.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in English.
    • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office and/or Google GSuite is advantageous).
  • Attributes:
    • Passion for retail and delivering a world-class customer experience.
    • Integrity and willingness to exceed expectations.
    • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Effective planning, organization, and managerial abilities.
    • Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work retail hours.

  • Salary: Market-related.
