Job Description
As a Pharmacist Assistant QPB, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care, focusing on the administration of prescriptions and general dispensing duties, with an emphasis on patient satisfaction. You will perform day-to-day dispensary administration in line with Clicks’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Key Responsibilities
- Interact with customers professionally and confidentially, adhering to SOPs and timelines
- Administer scripts and handle all related claiming/capturing procedures
- Ensure accurate and complete handling of all patient profiles worked on
- Communicate with healthcare professionals as needed
- Resolve queries and follow up as necessary
Duties
- Interact with customers via telephone and other means regarding medication and healthcare services
- Accurately capture scripts received at the Central Pharmacy Centre
- Handle queries regarding prescriptions
- Manage patient profiles and assist with chronic authorizations
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth operation
- Perform ad hoc duties as per operational requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Further Education and Training Certificate in Pharmacist Assistance (Essential)
- Experience: At least 1 year as a Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Product knowledge: including OTC
- SAPC and legal knowledge: Adherence to relevant laws and regulations
- Chronic Authorization Process: Sound understanding of procedures
- Customer service orientation: Ability to deliver excellent service
- Ethical compliance: Strong adherence to ethical standards
- Technical skills: Proficiency in MS Office
- Communication skills: Bilingual with English proficiency required
- Problem-solving skills: Ability to address patient concerns effectively
