Job Purpose
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to join Clicks Rivonia. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the store, leading the team, and driving sales, profit, and compliance targets to maintain a competitive edge for the brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Profit Maximization: Drive and achieve store financial goals by tracking sales, setting targets, and taking action to meet sales plans.
- Operational Management: Control expenses, manage stock, reduce shrinkage, ensure housekeeping and administrative duties are completed effectively.
- Visual Merchandising: Ensure in-store presentation and promotions meet the brand standards.
- Team Management: Select, lead, and develop employees to build a capable and motivated team.
- Staffing & Scheduling: Ensure the store is adequately staffed in line with the Group’s labour policy.
- Administrative Excellence: Ensure employee time and attendance records are maintained and submitted to HR.
- Customer Service Excellence: Drive customer service initiatives, ensuring a great customer experience, customer loyalty, and achieving club card participation targets.
- Stakeholder Relationships: Build strong relationships with center managers, suppliers, and distribution centers to optimize business opportunities.
- Competitor Awareness: Monitor local competitors and customer trends to identify business opportunities.
- Team Integration: Drive cohesion and integration between store, pharmacy, and clinic teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Business Culture: Foster a high-performing business culture that supports employee satisfaction, customer satisfaction, and shareholder value.
Minimum Requirements
- Education:
- Grade 12 (Maths 50% and English 50%)
- Essential: B. Degree or Diploma in Retail/Finance Management, Pharmacy, or a related field (External applicants)
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in store management in a retail/FMCG environment or completion of the Clicks Trainee Store Management Programme
- Experience with financial management (budgets, profit and loss, financial ratios)
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial management principles
- Retail/FMCG background, with knowledge of merchandising and promotions
- Stock, cost, risk, and compliance management procedures
- Customer service excellence
- Knowledge of labour legislation and IR practices
- Competency-based interviewing knowledge
- Strong managerial and problem-solving skills
- Strong financial acumen and computer literacy
