Job Description

As a Qualified Post Basic Pharmacist Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care and ensuring the day-to-day administration of the dispensary is carried out efficiently, in line with Clicks’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high standards of customer service and pharmaceutical care
  • Manage stock control and administration, including repacking of medicines
  • Ensure accurate dispensary administration
  • Perform accurate compounding of medications
  • Provide general health advice to customers
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and merchandise display
  • Handle ad hoc requirements as per operational needs

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Matric with Maths (Essential)
  • Certification: Must meet the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) requirements for a Qualified, Post Basic, or Learner Basic Pharmacist Assistant
  • Experience: Previous experience in a pharmacy environment is advantageous

  • In-depth product knowledge (Health aisle and OTC)
  • Strong knowledge of SAPC regulations and relevant legal knowledge
  • Customer service orientation
  • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work well in a team environment
  • High integrity and ethical working practices
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
  • Basic calculation skills
  • Proficient in IT business operating systems and MS Office
