Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies requires a committed and customer-oriented Cosmetics Consultant for their store in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves promoting and selling Dis-Chem’s cosmetic and beauty products through excellent and consistent customer service.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric
• Retail experience as a sales consultant
• Computer literate
• Willing and able to work retail hours

Advantageous

• Experience in cosmetics, fragrance, and/or beauty

Job Specification

• Provide high-level customer care and service
• Escalate serious customer complaints to the manager
• Demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetics demonstrations, and promotions
• Manage stock levels in line with Dis-Chem procedures, report on stock issues (shortages, damage, expired stock)
• Ensure attractive merchandising and displays
• Maximize store income by achieving sales targets for department, brand, and vendor
• Keep up-to-date on products, brands, and retail trends
• Manage salon appointments
• Adhere to Dis-Chem policies, SOPs, and health and safety regulations

Competencies

• Strong command of English (written and oral)
• Team player
• Provide excellent customer service
• Ability to understand stock reports and sales calculations (target/commission)
• Work according to a task schedule

Advantageous

• Experience in promotions, personal selling, and managing sales targets
• Previous sales and promotional training
• Experience with stock management and rotation
• Bilingual

Special Conditions of Employment

• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
• South African citizen
