Brights Hardware is seeking a highly organized Operational Clerk to support the Stock Department in Brackenfell. If you have experience in inventory management, stock control, and retail operations, this is your opportunity to contribute to a leading hardware retail company.
Key Responsibilities
✔ Stock Availability & Accuracy – Ensure stock is ready for customer purchase
✔ Inventory Control – Verify incoming stock against delivery notes & purchase orders
✔ Regular Stock Counts – Conduct stock checks to ensure accuracy
✔ Barcode Verification – Check barcodes daily and report any irregularities
✔ Daily Store Walks – Identify and report stock gaps to maintain shelf availability
✔ Stock Room Management – Assist with organizing and packing stock for easy tracking
✔ Transfer & Invoice Processing – Log and distribute incoming stock transfers
✔ Discrepancy Logging – Record shortages and excesses in stock records
✔ General Administration – Ensure invoices reach the admin team on time
✔ Housekeeping & Compliance – Maintain a safe and clean working environment
Minimum Requirements
✔ Matric Certificate (or equivalent) OR NQF Level 3 in Stock Management (54 credits minimum)
✔ 2+ years of experience in inventory control, stock management, or retail operations
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Email, Internet)
✔ Strong numerical and analytical skills
✔ Excellent time management and organizational skills
✔ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
✔ Effective verbal and written communication skills
