About the Role: Clerk – Cashier

As a Clerk: Cashier, your core responsibility will be to ensure the accurate collection, receipting, and reconciliation of cash received from drivers daily. You will also prepare deposits for banking and maintain transactional records for auditing purposes. This position is situated within the Sec Distribution Department and is key to maintaining daily financial flow and internal controls.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Core Duties and Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for handling cash, banking, and reconciliations. Key responsibilities include:

Cash Management

  • Accurately count and receive cash from delivery drivers

  • Capture and process EFT payments

  • Handle driver payment queries efficiently and professionally

Financial Documentation

  • Prepare and compile all cash documentation for daily banking

  • Record all transactional totals and reconcile takings with driver documentation

  • Maintain detailed records for auditing and compliance reviews

Banking & Reconciliation

  • Responsible for sundry banking

  • Complete daily reconciliations between cash received and bank deposits

  • Ensure daily cash is handed over to the designated security company on schedule

Customer & Internal Relations

  • Communicate effectively with drivers and supervisors

  • Resolve cash discrepancies or queries in a timely and professional manner

  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operations
