About the Role

As a Training Officer, you will be at the forefront of building workforce capability through effective technical and behavioural training programmes. You will design, coordinate, and facilitate learning interventions that align with both legislative requirements and business needs. This is a vital position that directly impacts the quality, compliance, and professionalism of our security teams across all regions.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:

Training Delivery & Facilitation
-
Design, facilitate, and evaluate technical and behavioural training programmes.

Provide coaching and support to learners, ensuring successful skills transfer.

Compliance & Standards
-
Ensure all training activities meet the requirements of PSIRA, SASSETA, NKP, SAPS, BBBEE, and ISO standards.

Monitor and audit training records for accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Learning Programme Management
-
Conduct training needs analysis to address regional skills gaps.

Plan, schedule, and coordinate training interventions based on operational requirements.

Administration & Record Keeping
-
Maintain detailed learner and training records for internal and external audits.

Report on training outcomes, learner progress, and compliance statistics.

Stakeholder Engagement
-
Liaise with accredited training providers to book external training where required.

Ensure service providers maintain valid accreditations and comply with industry standards.

Continuous Improvement
-
Contribute to curriculum design and development.

Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency in training delivery.

Skills and Competencies

Strong training facilitation and curriculum design expertise.

In-depth knowledge of PSIRA, SASSETA, and ISO compliance frameworks.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.

Strong planning, organisation, and record-keeping abilities.

High levels of integrity, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric – compulsory.

Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Training & Development, or related field – advantageous.

PSIRA Grade B Registration – mandatory.
-
Valid Driver’s Licence – required.

SASSETA Instructor Qualification and PSIRA Grade C Instructor registration – highly preferred.

Assessor and/or Moderator Certification – advantageous.
