Position Overview

Clinix Health Group is seeking two (2) Enrolled Nurses – Theatre to join the nursing team at Naledi Nkanyezi Private Hospital in Sebokeng. Reporting to the Unit Manager, this role provides critical clinical support during surgical procedures, assisting both Registered Nurses and fellow Enrolled Nurses in delivering high-quality patient care.

The role is ideal for nurses with theatre experience who are detail-oriented, compassionate, and committed to clinical excellence within a private hospital setting.


Key Responsibilities

Clinical Support & Patient Care

  • Assist Registered Nurses in implementing nursing care according to SANC, DOH, and National Core standards
  • Deliver patient care including wound care, hygiene care, buttock/back/pressure care, and medication administration under supervision
  • Provide clinical support during theatre procedures, handling medical equipment and surgical stock as required
  • Monitor patient conditions and escalate any concerns to Registered Nurse or Unit Manager
  • Maintain a safe and sterile theatre environment in compliance with quality standards and safety regulations

Stock & Resource Management

  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels and ensure accurate recording and charging of stock used
  • Support cost efficiency by monitoring expenses and reducing waste
  • Ensure proper handling of consumables and theatre supplies during surgical procedures

Team Collaboration & Professional Conduct

  • Participate in nursing team meetings, offering insights to improve theatre patient care
  • Adhere to Patient Advocacy principles, Company Code of Conduct, Patient Rights Charter, and SANC acts and regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and professional development programs

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric
  • Enrolled Nursing qualification with current registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC)
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a theatre or surgical nursing environment
  • BLS qualification advantageous
  • Experience within a private hospital environment is preferred
