Position Overview

Motus Corporation, within its Hyundai Importers – Hyundai Parts Retail business unit, is seeking a Parts Salesman to join its Benoni branch. This role focuses on selling automotive parts and accessories, assisting customers with product selection, and ensuring accurate point-of-sale transactions.

The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers and assist with identifying the correct automotive parts and accessories
  • Assess customer needs and recommend suitable products
  • Accurately process sales transactions using the point-of-sale system
  • Provide clear information on product specifications, pricing, and availability
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the parts store
  • Assist with receiving, unpacking, and restocking parts shipments
  • Monitor stock levels and support inventory control
  • Work closely with the Parts Manager to achieve sales targets
  • Stay informed about new product releases, promotions, and pricing updates
  • Handle customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding sales and exchanges

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric Certificate or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s Licence
  • Basic computer literacy and experience with POS systems
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to build rapport with customers
  • Physically able to lift and carry automotive parts when required

Advantageous Experience

  • Previous experience in automotive parts sales or a related field
  • Knowledge of automotive parts and accessories
  • Exposure to dealership or parts retail environments
