Position Overview

The Store Supervisor – Swakopmund will lead and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets, maintain operational standards, and deliver a premium in-store experience. This hands-on role ensures the store is well-staffed, visually appealing, and fully operational, while coaching the team in customer service, sales techniques, and product knowledge.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Provide guidance, supervision, and set a positive example for all team members
  • Develop the team in sales techniques, product knowledge, customer service, and visual merchandising
  • Motivate and inspire staff to achieve sales and turnover targets
  • Ensure staff schedules align with business requirements

Customer Experience & Sales

  • Create a welcoming, inspirational, and personalized shopping experience
  • Drive sales growth and basket size by coaching staff and promoting products
  • Ensure all promotions and loyalty programs are communicated to customers effectively
  • Assist team members in demonstrating products and conducting professional makeovers

Store Operations & Visual Merchandising

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully replenished sales floor
  • Ensure visual merchandising standards are consistently implemented
  • Oversee stock management, pricing accuracy, shrinkage control, and point-of-sale procedures
  • Perform and review cycle counts, stock takes, and variance reports, escalating issues as needed
  • Ensure operational policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Performance & Reporting

  • Drive team performance through motivation, training, and coaching
  • Escalate operational, sales, and stock concerns to the Area Manager
  • Maintain accurate daily operational and financial records as per company standards

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Passion for cosmetics, retail, and customer service
  • Knowledge of beauty and skincare products
  • Strong customer service orientation and work ethic
  • Flexible schedule to meet store operational needs
  • Basic proficiency in email and Excel
