The Greenacres store is seeking a Sales Consultant on a 4-month FTC to join their energetic team and support both sales and customer service excellence.
Position Overview
The Sales Consultant will ensure a professional and efficient customer service experience, while assisting with sales and operational activities in the store. The role requires maintaining customer accounts, resolving complaints, processing orders, and promoting Cell C products and services in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
This position is ideal for individuals with retail or service experience looking to gain exposure in the ICT and telecommunications sector.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Welcome all clients professionally and create a positive customer experience
- Maintain a service-centre environment conducive to driving sales
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure accurate management and administration of customer accounts
- Process orders, forms, applications, and requests promptly
- Maintain a detailed record of all customer interactions, inquiries, and complaints
- Provide accurate product knowledge to handle queries effectively
- Support colleagues and team members by sharing expertise and maintaining team performance
Complaint Resolution
- Evaluate all relevant information to handle customer inquiries and complaints
- Perform customer verification checks and escalate discrepancies immediately
- Resolve product or service problems efficiently, following up to ensure resolution
- Maintain strong understanding of Cell C products and services to assist customers accurately
Stock & Finance
- Submit weekly stock forecasts according to agreed timelines
- Manage daily sales order capture processes, ensuring accuracy and turnaround times
- Monitor daily cash reports to ensure no variances
- Ensure all financial documents are filed accurately, accessible, and audit-compliant
Administration & Reporting
- Submit weekly and monthly reports to the Store Manager
- Complete ad hoc reports as requested
- Maintain organized and accessible administrative documentation
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) legislative requirements
- Report any health and safety concerns or incidents to management
- Participate in SHE workshops as required
- Support the maintenance of a fully compliant healthy and safe work environment
Other Duties
- Perform any other tasks as requested by management to ensure store operational efficiency
Minimum Qualification
- Matric (Grade 12) plus NQF 5 Certificate or completion of internal workshops and self-learning courses in Customer Service or Sales
Experience Requirements
- 6 – 24 months experience in sales, retail, or service environments
- Knowledge of ICT products is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to increase sales
- Proficient with relevant computer applications
