Position Overview
HomeChoice is currently recruiting a 24hr Flexi Sales Associate for its Empangeni Shopping Centre Showroom in KwaZulu-Natal.
This role focuses on delivering outstanding customer service while driving retail sales performance. The successful candidate will convert showroom visitors into paying customers by providing engaging product demonstrations, recommending suitable homeware products, and assisting customers throughout the entire purchasing journey.

Key Responsibilities
Sales and Customer Engagement
- Convert showroom visitors into customers through effective product demonstrations and sales techniques
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable homeware products and solutions
- Clearly explain product features, pricing, and current promotions
- Achieve and exceed monthly retail sales targets
Customer Journey Management
- Guide customers through the complete purchasing process, from account opening to order completion
- Accurately capture customer orders and documentation
- Assist customers with payments, refunds, and credit processes
Sales Activations and Marketing
- Conduct sales activation campaigns in surrounding communities to attract new customers
- Increase showroom foot traffic and sales revenue
- Promote HomeChoice products and special offers to potential customers
Store Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming showroom environment
- Ensure product displays meet visual merchandising standards
- Support daily showroom housekeeping and store operations
Administration and Reporting
- Complete all sales administration tasks accurately and on time
- Maintain updated sales performance records and reporting metrics
- Provide WFS feedback to identify areas for operational improvement
Minimum Requirements
Applicants interested in this Retail Sales Associate job in Empangeni must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate (minimum requirement)
- At least 1 year of retail experience
- Clear criminal and ITC record
- Must not be debarred or declared not fit and proper under the FAIS Act
- Availability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Experience in the homeware retail sector will be advantageous
