Position Overview
The Medical Officer – Longevity & Preventative Medicine Lead will design, implement, and oversee Faircape’s preventative health and longevity programme.
The role is ideal for a forward-thinking physician passionate about preventative care, healthy ageing, functional independence, and lifestyle optimisation.
You will work across diagnostics, clinical oversight, programme development, and patient engagement, collaborating with allied health professionals and integrating advanced health technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the clinical development of the longevity and preventative health programme
- Design and implement advanced preventative health assessments and screening protocols
- Interpret complex biomarker, diagnostic, and health performance data
- Develop personalised health optimisation plans
- Collaborate with allied health professionals: physiotherapists, dieticians, rehabilitation specialists
- Introduce and evaluate emerging diagnostic tools and preventative health technologies
- Provide clinical oversight and governance for preventative care programmes
- Support multidisciplinary collaboration across healthcare and wellness services
- Engage with patients to promote proactive health management
- Ensure clinical decisions adhere to ethical, evidence-based medical practice
- Contribute to internal clinical governance, quality improvement, and programme development
Requirements
Qualifications & Knowledge
- MBChB from an accredited tertiary institution
- Current, active registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
- CPD compliance and proven clinical experience preferred
