Position Overview

Motus Corporation is currently recruiting a Controller: Vehicle Stock for the Volkswagen Fourways dealership in Sandton, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and monitoring vehicle inventory across the dealership, ensuring accurate stock control, documentation, and reporting. Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Inventory Management

  • Monitor the movement of vehicles in and out of the dealership.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle stock levels and locations.
  • Ensure all vehicles are correctly captured in the inventory management system.

Stock Control & Auditing

  • Conduct regular vehicle inventory audits to ensure stock accuracy.
  • Identify and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for vehicle inventory management.

Sales & Operations Coordination

  • Work closely with sales and service departments to ensure customer orders are fulfilled efficiently.
  • Assist the stock controller in sales reporting and stock monitoring.

Vehicle Documentation & Administration

  • Ensure accurate and timely capture of vehicle purchases.
  • Verify creditor documentation and manage deal files.
  • Ensure all required documentation is available before transactions are processed.
  • Maintain proper record-keeping and administration processes.

Financial & Reporting Duties

  • Perform vehicle invoicing and financial documentation processing.
  • Generate monthly reports on outstanding orders.
  • Balance vehicle costing within the Drive system against departmental cost sheets.
  • Process journals and creditor-related documentation.

Supplier & Vendor Communication

  • Contact suppliers regarding outstanding invoices and documentation.
  • Ensure all vehicle purchase documentation is complete and compliant.

Stock Control Operations

  • Conduct stock takes twice weekly for all vehicles.
  • Manage provisions on vehicles in stock.
  • Update vehicle stock lists for retail and internal reporting.
  • Control and monitor the demo fleet inventory.

Licensing & Registration

  • Manage the licensing and registration process for new and used vehicles.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership procedures and documentation requirements.

Minimum Requirements
