Position Overview

Motus Aftermarket Parts is currently recruiting for an Inbound Supervisor to join the Alert Riverhorse branch in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

The primary purpose of this role is to supervise the complete inbound warehouse process, ensuring that all incoming stock is received, processed, documented, and stored according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The successful candidate will oversee warehouse inbound operations including product receiving, documentation processing, stock binning, inventory control, and warehouse productivity monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Warehouse Operations

  • Supervise the entire inbound warehouse process, including product receiving and documentation verification.
  • Ensure efficient put-away and binning of stock according to company SOPs.
  • Coordinate inbound deliveries and manage warehouse space utilization.

Inventory Control & Space Management

  • Consolidate stock to ensure items are stored together for maximum warehouse space utilization.
  • Assist with stock counting programs and ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Maintain high levels of inventory integrity and stock accuracy.

Warehouse Productivity & KPI Monitoring

  • Track hourly warehouse KPIs to monitor operational productivity.
  • Investigate missed targets and identify root causes for discrepancies.
  • Implement improvements to optimize warehouse performance.

Supplier Coordination

  • Work closely with local suppliers and delivery partners to ensure timely inbound deliveries.
  • Resolve delivery issues and maintain strong supplier relationships.

Equipment & Asset Management

  • Ensure all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is properly maintained according to company procedures.
  • Manage and control pallets and other warehouse assets effectively.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all warehouse activities are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Track and report non-conformances and operational deviations.
  • Promote a safe working environment while maintaining optimal housekeeping standards.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Train, mentor, and develop warehouse staff members.
  • Support team performance and encourage a collaborative work culture.
  • Monitor employee wellbeing and maintain a positive working environment.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Grade 12 / Matric (Required)

Experience

  • 3–5 years’ experience in warehouse operations or logistics environments
  • Previous WMS (Warehouse Management System) and picking experience
