Position Overview

Motus Corporation is seeking an enthusiastic, target-driven Branch Manager for the Alert Engine Parts Riverhorse branch in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for ensuring branch profitability, operational efficiency, and alignment with group strategy. This role oversees sales, marketing, HR, logistics, customer service, and financial management, while providing leadership and guidance to staff.

Key Responsibilities

Human Resource Management

  • Recruit, manage, motivate, and develop branch staff according to company policies and employment laws.
  • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, including Labour Relations Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, and Employment Equity Act.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews, training, and coaching to maximize staff effectiveness.

Sales & Marketing

  • Develop and implement branch sales, marketing, and promotional strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Forecast and report on branch revenue, costs, and business performance.
  • Manage customer accounts and expand the branch’s market share in the region.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams and suppliers to strengthen relationships and optimize sales opportunities.

Customer Service

  • Provide guidance and assistance to customers on the company’s products and services.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Develop and implement branch-specific customer service policies and standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and feedback.

Administration & Financial Management

  • Oversee branch administration, internal controls, and operational procedures.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and monthly reports detailing branch activities and performance.
  • Monitor costs, manage expenditures, and ensure profitability of branch operations.

Logistics & Inventory

  • Ensure timely supply of services and parts to customers in the region.
  • Oversee stock management and procurement processes.
  • Provide supplier and product feedback to support operational improvements.

Leadership & Management

  • Provide strong leadership and guidance to direct reports.
  • Define branch goals, objectives, and measurement criteria to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Manage branch programs to ensure timely completion of objectives.
  • Maintain professional relationships with management, staff, suppliers, and customers.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) or tertiary qualification in business or management preferred

Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the automotive aftermarket industry
  • Extensive experience in Branch, Sales, or Warehouse Management

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong business acumen, financial management, and operational oversight
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • In-depth understanding of HR, compliance, and employment legislation
  • Excellent strategic planning, communication, and customer relationship skills
  • Proficient in computer systems and office applications
