Position Overview

TWK Agri is currently recruiting a Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst to join the Internal Audit Department within the Finance Division in Pretoria, Gauteng.

The successful candidate will help strengthen the company’s control environment by assessing operational risks, identifying control gaps, and supporting the implementation of effective internal controls. This role also focuses on control improvement initiatives, governance monitoring, and assisting business units in maintaining strong compliance frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Governance & Risk Management

  • Review business operations across the TWK Group of companies.
  • Identify control gaps, operational risks, and compliance weaknesses.
  • Recommend and implement effective internal control frameworks.

Internal Control Development

  • Assist business units in implementing new internal control measures.
  • Track the progress of control implementation initiatives.
  • Support management in improving risk management and control environments.

Internal Audit Support

  • Assist in developing internal audit programs to review the effectiveness of controls.
  • Support the internal audit team in assessing compliance and governance practices.

Control Self-Assessments (CSA)

  • Develop and implement Control Self-Assessment frameworks across business units.
  • Monitor the completion and effectiveness of control assessments.

Digitisation & Automation

  • Play a key role in the digitisation and automation of key controls.
  • Support initiatives that improve efficiency through data-driven risk monitoring and automated compliance systems.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10 years’ experience in internal auditing, risk management, or internal control development and testing.
  • Proven experience in control improvement and governance processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License and Passport with willingness to travel.

Advantageous Qualifications

  • Honours Degree in Accounting, Internal Audit, or related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as CIA (Certified Internal Auditor).
  • Experience in governance frameworks, enterprise risk management, and compliance monitoring.
