Position Overview

Motus Corporation is seeking a target-driven Sales Manager for its Alert Engine Parts Riverhorse branch in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.

This role is responsible for leading the branch’s sales team, setting sales targets, implementing sales strategies, analyzing data, and developing training programs for sales staff. The position focuses on achieving branch revenue goals, enhancing customer satisfaction, and aligning branch objectives with company strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Planning

  • Design, develop, and implement sales processes and tools for maximum efficiency.
  • Apply the company’s vision and business strategies to sales channels and develop new growth opportunities.
  • Forecast revenue, track unit demands, and monitor order flow.
  • Plan, forecast, and report on sales, reviewing branch budgets and performance.
  • Assist in annual budget planning and monitor branch expenditure.

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor sales staff, including hiring, performance evaluation, training, and work allocation.
  • Conduct monthly feedback sessions and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Build and maintain team dynamics, collaboration, and morale.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Manage selling and customer service activities to optimize sales performance, profitability, GP margins, and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement key account management to prioritize high-performing clients.
  • Communicate professionally with customers via telephone, email, and in-person.
  • Resolve customer issues and nurture potential and existing client relationships.

Marketing & Promotions

  • Plan and implement branch marketing, sales, and promotional activities.
  • Review branch analysis to determine customer needs, volume potential, pricing, and discount schedules.
  • Collaborate with other branches to leverage relationships and maximize opportunities.

Reporting & Administration

  • Generate monthly reports on sales, revenue streams, and potential business prospects.
  • Attend to correspondence efficiently, addressing inquiries and resolving transaction-related issues.
  • Document deviations from sales targets and interventions taken.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Qualifications

  • Matric (Grade 12) required
  • Diploma/Degree in Business, Marketing, or Sales – advantageous

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in automotive aftermarket or sales
  • Prior experience as a Sales Manager, Sales Representative, or Key Accounts Manager preferred
