This is a hands-on role for someone with structural drawing expertise who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality technical drawings.

Position Overview

The Structural Draughtsman will produce detailed structural engineering drawings, reinforcement detailing, steel fabrication drawings, and foundation/substructure plans. The role requires close collaboration with engineers and project managers while ensuring all drawings comply with structural design specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed structural engineering drawings using AutoCAD
  • Produce reinforcement detailing for concrete structures
  • Create steel fabrication and connection drawings
  • Develop foundation and substructure plans
  • Interpret and convert structural designs into accurate drawings
  • Work independently on assigned projects while collaborating with the engineering team
  • Ensure drawings meet project specifications and quality standards
  • Maintain attention to detail and accuracy throughout all deliverables

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Structural Draughtsman
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD
  • Experience in structural engineering drawing production
  • Reinforcement detailing capability
  • Steel fabrication drawing experience
  • Ability to read and interpret structural designs
  • Understanding of structural engineering principles
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable own transport
  • Immediate or short-notice availability
