To strengthen its Merchant Division, Lesaka is currently recruiting a Go-To-Market Project Manager to lead strategic initiatives within the Community Channels team.

Position Overview

The Go-To-Market Project Manager plays a key role in planning, executing, and managing strategic sales projects that drive growth within the informal market sector.

Working closely with the sales team, operational stakeholders, and management, the successful candidate will lead projects that leverage sales tools, field systems, and data insights to maximize business impact.

This role requires a professional who is highly organized, data-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring successful implementation and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Project Planning

  • Design and develop strategic sales initiatives for the Merchant Division
  • Identify opportunities to improve sales performance and operational efficiency
  • Define project objectives, deliverables, and timelines

Project Ownership & Delivery

  • Take ownership of project execution and outcomes
  • Manage project deliverables from planning to completion
  • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved

Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Build and maintain project progress trackers and dashboards
  • Conduct regular project meetings with relevant stakeholders
  • Prepare and deliver post-project performance reports

Field Engagement & Sales Tools

  • Conduct project-related field visits to support sales teams
  • Design and test project forms and reporting tools
  • Utilize field sales systems and CRM tools to manage project data

Stakeholder Communication

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure project alignment
  • Provide updates on project progress and outcomes
  • Present project insights and results to leadership teams

Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for this position must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • 3 – 5 years of work experience in a related field, including:
    • Project management
    • Sales support
    • Informal market fintech operations
  • Experience working with sales systems and CRM tools

Technical Skills

Successful candidates should possess the following technical abilities:

  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams
  • Experience using CRM systems and sales management tools
  • Strong project management capabilities
