Position Overview
The Financial Administrator reports directly to the Campus Bursar and is responsible for finance administration, procurement, and accounts payable. The role ensures accurate expense allocations, compliance with financial procedures, and timely processing of procurement requests to support the school’s operations efficiently.
This position suits individuals with strong administrative skills, attention to detail, and experience in finance or procurement within an educational or corporate setting.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with financial processes, internal controls, and policies
- Provide administrative support to campus bursars, principals, staff, and brand finance
- Assist with Group Shared Services (GSS) and finance admin projects as required
Procurement & Accounts Payable
- Plan and schedule procurement aligned to school requirements
- Track and manage procurement requests from receipt to payment
- Submit procurement requests within 24 hours on the centralized procurement portal
- Assign correct GL/procurement categories and fixed asset groups
- Compile vendor applications and updates, and maintain records on SharePoint
- Monitor and follow up on purchase orders, delivery notes, and goods receipts
- Process returns to vendors as approved
- Resolve procurement and account payable queries efficiently
- Provide bursars with accruals listing for goods/services received
Reporting & Collaboration
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement and accounts payable activities
- Liaise with staff, suppliers, and GSS to ensure timely resolution of issues
- Support bursars in financial reporting and reconciliations
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum Grade 12
- 3–5 years’ experience in a finance administrator or similar role
- Accounting knowledge is preferable
- Proficiency in computer literacy and Microsoft Office suite
