The IMFRG branch in Alberton is currently seeking a skilled Parts Sales Executive to support parts sales operations and provide excellent service to dealership and workshop customers.

Position Overview

The Parts Sales Executive is responsible for handling counter sales and telesales of automotive parts and accessories while ensuring transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

The successful candidate will identify customer needs, process sales transactions, manage parts inventory queries, and build strong relationships with customers. This role also includes business development activities such as cold calling, customer visits, and account management to grow parts sales revenue.

This position is ideal for professionals with automotive parts knowledge and proven sales experience within the motor industry.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Sales & Customer Service

  • Process parts counter sales transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Assist customers in identifying the correct automotive parts using catalogues and computer systems
  • Provide accurate quotations and estimates
  • Upsell parts and accessories to workshop and retail customers
  • Ensure excellent customer service and high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI)

Telesales & Business Development

  • Conduct telesales and follow-up sales calls
  • Perform cold calling to attract new customers
  • Visit existing and potential clients to build long-term relationships
  • Open new customer accounts and maintain existing ones
  • Participate in marketing campaigns and promotional activities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Ensure accurate identification of parts using catalogues and stock control systems
  • Maintain updated parts catalogues and manufacturer lists
  • Report stock movement issues to the Warehouse Manager
  • Notify management of discrepancies when inspecting incoming goods

Administration & Compliance

  • Ensure all documentation and paperwork are correctly recorded in the stock control system
  • Confirm that credit sales are made only to authorised signatories
  • Follow company discount policies and sales procedures
  • Maintain security of payments and financial transactions

Team Collaboration

  • Assist company staff in identifying parts and recommending replacements
  • Support the training and development of new parts sales personnel
  • Work collaboratively with workshop and warehouse teams

Minimum Requirements

Candidates applying for this role must meet the following criteria:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Higher Certificate or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificate (advantageous)
  • 3–5 years’ experience as a Parts Sales Executive
  • Proven track record in automotive parts sales
