Position Overview

The Project Manager – AIG Life is responsible for project governance, oversight, and coordination for a major life insurance programme. Acting as the central point for all project workstreams, this role ensures that timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met while maintaining alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

This role requires a highly organised, detail-oriented professional who can manage multiple stakeholders, create clear documentation, and drive project progress efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

Project Governance & Planning

  • Establish and maintain a structured project governance framework
  • Develop and maintain a central project repository to organise all information
  • Create and monitor a comprehensive project plan and RAID log including tasks, timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Oversee project alignment with company vision and goals

Stakeholder Management & Reporting

  • Facilitate effective communication with stakeholders and SteerCo (Steering Committee)
  • Attend and drive weekly Workstream Progress Meetings and SteerCo meetings
  • Produce and circulate meeting notes, updates, and action items
  • Prepare detailed SteerCo packs summarising project status, risks, and decisions

Budget & Risk Management

  • Collaborate with the business owner and finance team to manage project budget
  • Monitor progress against the project timeline, identify risks, and escalate as necessary
  • Ensure all workstreams are progressing according to plan

Team Coordination

  • Support teams in delivering project outputs successfully
  • Maintain a solutions-focused mindset under pressure
  • Promote collaboration and effective working relationships across multiple teams

Key Requirements

  • Proven project management or project governance experience
  • Strong organisation and reporting skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Initiative-taking, proactive, and solutions-oriented
  • Confident in escalating issues and resolving project risks

Contract Duration

  • 6-month Fixed Term Contract
