Position Overview
A well-established bakery operation in Klerksdorp is seeking a passionate and skilled Bakery Worker to join their team. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in baking, pastry preparation, and food production, who enjoy working in a dynamic kitchen environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts, ensuring all products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
Baking & Food Preparation
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts according to recipes
- Ensure all baked goods meet quality, consistency, and taste standards
Presentation & Creativity
- Decorate and present baked goods in an attractive and appealing manner
- Contribute creative ideas for new products and improvements
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain a clean and organised bakery workspace
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times
Inventory & Stock Control
- Assist with inventory management and stock control
- Support ordering of baking ingredients and supplies as needed
Customer Service
- Provide friendly and professional customer service
- Assist with customer inquiries and special requests
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment
- Knowledge of baking techniques and methods
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary or Baking Certification (advantageous)
- Experience with gluten-free or vegan baking practices
