Position Overview

The Facilities Coordinator (Niche Campus) role is a dynamic and strategic position based in Sandton. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities management, including maintenance, vendor coordination, compliance, and operational efficiency.

You will work closely with the Campus Head to ensure that buildings, equipment, and services meet high-quality standards while maintaining cost control and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities

Facilities Management & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Set and implement facility KPAs in collaboration with Campus leadership
  • Monitor facility conditions and ensure a clean, safe, and well-maintained environment
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and respond to operational needs
  • Oversee utilities usage including water and electricity monitoring
  • Coordinate campus events setup and operational readiness

Site & Building Maintenance

  • Implement preventative and reactive maintenance plans
  • Oversee repairs (plumbing, electrical, roofing, painting, etc.)
  • Conduct routine inspections and ensure compliance with maintenance standards
  • Ensure cleanliness of classrooms, offices, and shared facilities
  • Manage vehicles, storerooms, and maintenance logs

Vendor Coordination & SLA Management

  • Manage outsourced service providers (security, cleaning, landscaping, etc.)
  • Monitor service delivery against Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Verify vendor billing and manage procurement processes
  • Coordinate monthly vendor performance meetings
  • Track and report operational and service costs

Financial Planning & Budgeting

  • Contribute to annual budgeting and financial planning
  • Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Develop preventative maintenance budgets and forecasts
  • Report on financial performance and future projections

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Maintain health and safety documentation in line with company policies
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and audits
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and safety drills
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) standards

Staff Supervision

  • Lead and manage facilities support staff
  • Conduct performance management and training
  • Ensure staff compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Drive productivity and continuous improvement within the team

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric / Grade 12
  • Post-matric qualification in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related field (advantageous)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in facilities, maintenance, or property management
  • At least 2 years’ staff management experience
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
  • Own mobile device
