Position Overview
The Junior Store Manager will support the Senior Store Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Koeberg Road Pedros restaurant. This role ensures quality standards, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency, while assisting in team leadership, stock management, and sales growth.
The ideal candidate is a motivated and hands-on manager with restaurant or fast-food service experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to drive team performance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Support overall daily operations of the restaurant/take-away
- Ensure adherence to Pedros Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
- Assist in managing stock control, purchasing, and inventory
- Handle customer complaints promptly to maintain satisfaction
- Support daily opening and closing procedures
Financial and Sales Performance
- Assist in maximizing profitability and achieving sales and GP% targets
- Help implement strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
Team Leadership & People Management
- Supervise, motivate, and coach staff to achieve operational goals
- Manage work rosters and staff performance
- Support training and development initiatives to strengthen team capability
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene regulations are followed
- Maintain store compliance with all operational standards
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 1-year managerial experience in restaurant or fast-food service
- Knowledge of Micros POS system – Advantageous
- Strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
