Position Overview

The Senior Store Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Dolphin Coast/Ballito Pedros store, ensuring efficient operations, high-quality standards, and profitability. This role involves leading the team, managing stock and sales performance, and delivering excellent customer service, while ensuring compliance with Pedros SOPs, health, and safety standards.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned manager with fast-food experience, strong organizational and problem-solving skills, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee overall restaurant/take-away operations
  • Ensure adherence to Pedros Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality standards
  • Manage stock control, purchasing, and inventory management
  • Handle customer complaints and maintain high service levels
  • Conduct daily opening and closing procedures

Financial & Sales Management

  • Maximise profitability and achieve sales & GP% targets
  • Implement strategies to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor operational costs and recommend improvements

Team Leadership & Development

  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluation
  • Create and maintain work rosters and structured staff meetings
  • Motivate staff to drive productivity, efficiency, and morale
  • Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth

Marketing & Customer Relations

  • Coordinate marketing activities, promotions, and incentive programmes
  • Ensure effective customer service management, including timely complaint resolution
  • Support brand-building initiatives at the store level

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Maintain operational standards in line with company policy and regulatory requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years managerial experience in restaurant or fast-food service
  • Knowledge of GAAP – Advantageous
  • Strong management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
