Position Overview
The Code 10 Driver: Disinfecting will be responsible for travelling to multiple broiler farms daily and performing disinfecting of chicken houses independently. This role requires strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), high attention to detail, and consistent client interaction. Approximately 80–90% of the role involves on-road travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel daily to various farms to disinfect broiler houses according to SOPs
- Perform disinfecting after the house has been fully washed
- Prepare disinfecting solutions at the correct chemical dilution
- Use disinfecting units following manufacturer instructions
- Disinfect vehicles and shower on-site as required
- Take swabs after disinfecting each chicken house for quality control
- Record, analyse, and report all disinfecting activities accurately
- Ensure chicken houses are secured post-disinfection to prevent unauthorized access
- Engage professionally with Grain Field Chickens’ contract growers
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or NQF Level 4 equivalent
- Code 10 driving licence with PDP
- Clear criminal record
- Technical knowledge or background advantageous
- Understanding of chicken house layouts
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans for client interaction
- Willingness to work overtime, including weekends
