Position Overview
The Part-Time Intermediate Phase Lecturer (Independent Contractor) role is ideal for experienced educators passionate about Mathematics and Natural Sciences education (Grade 4–6).
You will be responsible for delivering engaging lectures, supporting student success, and contributing to academic excellence in a tertiary education environment.

Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning Delivery
- Deliver engaging Mathematics and Natural Sciences lectures
- Facilitate interactive and student-centered learning
- Prepare lesson materials aligned with module outcomes
Assessment & Academic Support
- Design, administer, and mark assessments
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students
- Identify and support at-risk students
Academic Administration
- Maintain accurate academic records
- Meet deadlines for reporting and submissions
- Ensure compliance with academic integrity and quality standards
Innovation & Development
- Integrate ICT tools into teaching and learning
- Participate in academic and professional development initiatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement in education delivery
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- B.Ed Honours Degree OR Postgraduate Diploma in Education (NQF Level 8)
OR - Honours Degree in BSc / BA / Humanities
Additional Requirements:
- Qualification must include Mathematics and/or Natural Sciences
- Subjects studied up to at least NQF Level 6 (2nd-year level)
- Must include Teaching & Learning / Pedagogy modules
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years teaching and learning experience
- Tertiary lecturing experience (advantageous)
