Position Overview

Motus Corporation is seeking a well-organised and customer-focused Administrator: Service Advisor (Non-Technical) for its Nissan Tygervalley dealership in Durbanville.

This role is essential in ensuring smooth coordination between customers and the service department. The successful candidate will manage communication, workflow, vehicle tracking, service scheduling, and administrative support within a fast-paced workshop environment.


Key Responsibilities

Service Department Coordination

  • Coordinate workflow between Service Advisors, Technicians, Foreman, and customers
  • Ensure smooth communication across all service department functions
  • Support Service Manager, Service Controller, and Reception teams

Customer Communication & Updates

  • Provide regular updates to customers regarding service progress
  • Handle booking confirmations and service-related queries
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and communication clarity

Vehicle Management & Control

  • Ensure vehicles are securely parked and keys safely stored
  • Prepare vehicles for service and customer collection
  • Conduct test drive coordination where required
  • Monitor and report any comeback issues

Administration & Workflow Management

  • Assist with quotations and job card processing
  • Ensure all job cards are completed and signed off correctly
  • Book in vehicles and manage service schedules
  • Track work-in-progress and outstanding payments daily

Parts & Workshop Support

  • Follow up on ordered parts and ensure timely delivery
  • Ensure parts are ordered according to procedures
  • Support workshop efficiency and turnaround times

Compliance & Safety

  • Maintain clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Promote adherence to safety standards
  • Ensure dealership procedures and compliance protocols are followed

Sales Support

  • Upsell accessories and additional service work where applicable
  • Assist with preparing and following up on quotations

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Service Advisor
  • Valid Service Advisor certification (Toyota or similar)
  • Computer literate (MS Office and dealership systems)
  • Clear criminal record
  • Experience in motor dealership environment (advantageous)
