Position Overview
The Griller position is a key role within the kitchen team, responsible for preparing and grilling menu items to the highest quality and safety standards.
This role is ideal for candidates looking for entry-level kitchen jobs, fast food jobs, or cooking positions in Cape Town, especially those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, season, and grill chicken and menu items according to recipes
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and portion control
- Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet company standards
Kitchen Operations
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any faults
- Assist with ingredient preparation and stock counts
- Support kitchen operations during busy periods
Hygiene & Safety
- Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards
- Ensure clean workstations, grills, and utensils
- Follow all health and safety regulations
Stock Control
- Manage stock rotation using FIFO (First-In, First-Out)
- Minimise food waste and ensure efficient stock usage
Minimum Requirements
- Previous kitchen or grilling experience (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
