Position Overview
Rosebank College is seeking a Part-Time Lecturer in ICT / Business Information Systems for its Durban campus.
The successful candidate will deliver IT-focused lectures, support student learning, and contribute to academic performance tracking and improvement. Key Responsibilities
Teaching & Learning Delivery
- Deliver lectures aligned with module requirements and pacing guides
- Facilitate student engagement and active learning
- Support students in understanding ICT and business systems concepts
Student Support & Assessment
- Prepare students for assessments and examinations
- Identify at-risk students and provide academic support
- Monitor student engagement and academic performance
- Provide feedback via learning management systems
Academic Administration
- Update and manage learning management system content
- Attend academic meetings and contribute to programme discussions
- Assist in analysing student performance results
- Support module improvement initiatives
Academic Development
- Participate in academic professional development activities
- Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching practices
- Support enhancement of digital learning systems
Minimum Requirements
Qualification
- Honours degree in any IT-related field (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in any IT-related qualification (minimum requirement)
Experience
- 2–3 years lecturing or formal tutoring experience
- 1–3 years industry experience in ICT or related field
