Position Overview: Trainee Grain Grader
TWK Agri is seeking a Trainee Grain Grader to join its team at the Rietspruit Bunker in Ermelo.
This entry-level opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in agriculture, grain handling, and quality control. The role includes structured on-the-job training to become a qualified Grain Grader while gaining hands-on operational experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with grain intake and dispatch operations
- Support grain grading activities under supervision
- Assist with weighbridge operations and record keeping
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and infestation control standards
- Support food safety and Quality Management Systems
- Perform administrative duties (filing, data capturing)
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and farmers
- Work shifts and overtime as required
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12
- Valid Driver’s License (Code 8)
- Computer literacy (MS Word and Excel)
- Basic administrative skills
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime and shifts
- Willingness to complete a Grain Grader Course
