Position Overview
Power Fashion is seeking a motivated and reliable Assistant Store Manager for its Meyerton store. This role supports the Store Manager in daily operations and ensures that store standards, staff performance, and customer service levels are consistently maintained.
The successful candidate will play a key role in retail operations, stock control, cash management, and team supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Support
- Relieve the Store Manager when required
- Ensure smooth daily store operations
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures
Cash & Financial Control
- Manage banking of daily cash takings
- Oversee cash office operations and front-end controls
- Ensure accuracy in financial processes
Stock & Shrinkage Control
- Monitor stock levels and minimise stock loss
- Maintain merchandising and housekeeping standards
- Ensure store security and compliance procedures are followed
Team Management
- Assist in managing and supervising store staff
- Support training and development of team members
- Maintain discipline and productivity within the store
Sales & Customer Service
- Implement sales initiatives to achieve store targets
- Ensure excellent customer service delivery
- Maintain a positive and professional store environment
Minimum Requirements
- Matric / Grade 12 (Mathematics advantageous) or NQF Level 4
- Previous experience managing people or a department
- Experience in clothing retail (highly advantageous)
- Strong communication and administrative skills
