Position Overview
PEP is seeking an experienced Security Contract Manager for a 6-month contract role based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing security service level agreements (SLAs), coordinating loss prevention projects, and ensuring compliance across all security operations.
This role plays a key part in maintaining store safety, security systems, and contractor performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Contract Management
- Ensure compliance with security contractor SLAs (alarms, armed response, guarding, and installations)
- Monitor and manage contractor performance against agreed standards
- Oversee installation and maintenance of security technology
Project Management
- Manage security-related loss prevention projects
- Ensure timely execution of security rollouts across stores
- Coordinate rollout of safes and security systems
Financial Management
- Manage OPEX and CAPEX budgets for security suppliers
- Ensure cost control and financial compliance within security operations
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with security installations and operational standards
- Apply knowledge of South African security legislation
- Support incident and risk investigation processes (advantageous)
Relationship Management
- Manage relationships with security service providers
- Ensure effective communication and service delivery
- Support operational teams with security-related requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- PSIRA Grade C Certificate
- Certificate in Contract Management (advantageous)
- 2–3 years’ experience in contract management
- 2–3 years’ experience in the security industry
- Valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel
Knowledge & Technical Requirements
- Understanding of South African security legislation (CPOA, PSIRA, Firearms Control Act, Explosives Act)
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Experience with CCTV, alarm, and security systems
- Basic risk analysis and auditing knowledge
- Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace
